Hey everyone, I've been doing really good with all if my goals except for sugar. I usually go over by about 10mg or so. What kind of effect will this have on my ability to lose weight if any.

Absolutely zero....provided you're maintaining your calorie deficit.

    Cosigned.

It's easier for me to be compliant with a calorie deficit if I eat less sugar and more protein, but that's a different issue.

I would be inclined to believe that going out of your way to try to meet a micro goal will have a bigger negative effect than just maintaining the status quo - given the assumption you are logging accurately and you are at the required deficit.

As others said, none. And MFP counts all sugar in your sugar goal, even if it comes from vegetables or milk. Unless your doctor says otherwise, I wouldn't worry about it.

Personally, I swapped it out for fiber in settings. I prefer having a goal I should meet rather than a bar I should stay under.
