Hi lovely myfitnesspal-ers! Has anyone got any good snack ideas they would like to share? I get a little stuck with things to take to work and on the go? XO

Thanks for the ideas! I definitely need to try wasabi peas!

Crunchy veg and small pots of hummus was my go to for ages. Filling and tasty. Probably less appealing is smoked fish/jerky (carry gum). Protein bars are good but expensive and you need to be sure you're happy with the nutrition profile in them as they vary a lot.

    Wasabi peas are awesome!
Carrot and celery sticks with hummus,
    Unsweetened applesauce,
Grapefruit with a bit of cane sugar on top,
Strawberries and blueberries on top of a bit of plain frozen yogurt,
Some Popsicles are pretty decent too!

Where would you find Wasabi Peas in the supermarket?

Edamame. After it's baked/roasted, it's a great - and very healthy - snack. You can eat it like popcorn or nuts.

It's got that "split in two" thing like peanuts have and is really very yummy. :)

Different stores will stock them in different places. They're usually either with the snack nuts or if your supermarket has an "ethnic" section where they stock Asian foods you might find them there.

Some of my favorite snacks include:
    - Light & Fit Greek yogurt
    - Can of tuna mixed with salsa
    - 1 slice string cheese, halved lengthwise, each half wrapped with two thin slices of turkey breast
    - 1 low sodium rice cake with 1 Tbsp peanut butter and an apple

Dark chocolate coated almonds. I like almonds, but these give you that light chocolate flavor/fix and their nutrition value is almost exactly the same as plain!
