I've recently been on the Paleo diet for three weeks (where you just eat fruit, vegetables, & meat.) I've read different reviews about the paleo, some really good, some not so good. I was just wondering if any of you have had really successful fat loss with a particular diet that you sincerely enjoyed?

A calorie deficit while lifting weights is the best diet for fat loss.

For me, CICO has worked better then any "diet" - and I've done lots. WW, Nutrisystem, Akins etc. etc. Maybe it works well because it doesn't eliminate any of my favorites or any food for that mater. I'm down 16 lbs this year and I can eat anything I'm in the mood for. I just make sure it fits my cal count and macros. And I weigh all foods, measure all liquids and log everything on MFP. And, best of all MFP is free.

I enjoy my diet, as in the way I eat, because I created it for me based on my food preferences and how I like to cook and my nutrition goals. I don't really care for any named diets. I actually did try paleo for a bit, but I couldn't come up with any good reasons (for me) for the main restrictions, like grains, legumes, and dairy.

I focus on eating a nutritious diet that I will enjoy that is calorie appropriate and include in it some less nutrient-dense foods I love that fit in my calories.

The "everything in moderation, including moderation"-diet; down 45 pounds in a year; maintaining for nine moths now.

CICO is all that can work.

How you achieve that is personal preference. I've lost 115 pounds on almost exactly the same "diet" I had before. I just eat less and move more.
