MFP wants me to eat below the BMR it gives me?

hey guys, so i just did all the MFP calculations and stuff and it game me a BMR in the 1900's saying never to eat below that. however, when i input my goal weight it came out saying i should eat just under 1700 calories, what gives?

Try setting your goal for 1 pound a week. If you want to lose more than that then find something to do everyday that will burn another 500 calories.0

For sedentary activity level and weight loss of 1 lb/week or more the Daily calorie goal is almost always below the BMR, not that this matters anyway.
If you log exercise and eat the extra calories your intake obviously goes up.0
