I'm new here and just starting to diet, I need to lose over 100 lbs, not really sure what my final goal is yet. I've been dieting about a week, but just joined yesterday. I need to feel better and to have a shot at living longer, those are my real goals.
I'm a 62 year old guy from North Florida, happily married and still working. I plan to retire as soon as we can afford it (like a lot of folks I guess). I enjoy fishing and getting out on the Gulf of Mexico and do a little gardening, we're getting lots of egg plants right now.

Got no responses the first time, so I'll try again. I am looking for advice as to how this place operates and works. I know from past experience that having others check on me helps me stay on track, and I am willing to the same for folks. If this is the place to do that I'd appreciate some advice as to how to start.
I have been successfully dieting for about 10 days, and am feeling better already.0
