I feel I've lost motivation / commitment / discipline. I lost 100 pounds, ran a couple marathons. I beat bulimia. I've set new goals. I've memorized all the motivational sayings. I only need to eat healthy and stay active. My diet is mostly veggies, oatmeal, and meats such as salmon, turkey, fish. For the last month, I havent been able to run as much due to injury. Normally run 200 miles a month. Darned if I didnt binge twice. Afraid to get on scales, but my watch and belt are a bit tighter. I know what that means. Restarted MFP account to start tracking. Feeling really down and depressed. Rant over. Sorry.

So you had a small setback. You can't change the past. You're making progress in the right direction. It sounds like the biggest stumbling blocks are behind you, so you're going to make light work of getting these few pounds off.

I had a setback myself yesterday. Binged out at the movies then came home and made chocolate chip cookies. Feel bad about that, but that was yesterday. We're only human. Yesterday is gone. Today is all we have. I'm sure you will do great today! Just one day at a time -- okay? Just one day....

Maybe you need to vary your diet more? I don't know how long I would last eating such a restrictive choice of food. You can stay at your calorie level and enjoy a much greater variety of food.

You have accomplished so much. Wish I had your determination--look how much you accomplished. Reading your post the first thing that popped into my mind was that you reset MFP, started all over because you binged twice. Sounds like you might be beating yourself up over 2 mistakes. You have chosen a healthy lifestyle. You have been living it in a way many others only dream about. All of those healthy days trump 2 binges...and yes, we err, we are human. Try and forgive yourself. Love yourself even when you aren't perfect. You can do this.

You need to find other hobbies besides fitness, or how about cross training (bicycles). Life happens, you have to learn to just be sometime. Best regards.

Switch gears and try something different. Maybe biking or lifting weights or both. Find something else you enjoy.

There are ups and downs in health and weight loss. Find an exercise you love that you can do, track your food to a reasonable degree and you'll be back before you know it!

    WOW!
    You reading my mail?

I have had to make a major track change after taking a huge life hit - one of those things...and I fell into a major depression. I could have easily turned back to old habits where food becomes my way to self-medicate these low moods.
    I feel you!
And I am here again as well to stay on track and plug into the MFP support network.
    Good Luck To You!

Thank you everyone for the encouragement. Love the idea of biking, I just signed up for my first triathlon. One day and one step at a time. Thank You! I do wish my diet wasnt so restrictive. But there are a lot of foods I cant eat without feeling enormous guilt. Thank you all once again!
