Well things are going well now and I'm losing 1/5 lb or more daily. It took a while and I stalled out during my monthly cycle but didn't worry about it I guess. Roasted vegetables and keeping low calorie snacks in easy reach and seltzer too have made it pretty easy. I know from prior times that when I reach 129 lbs I tend to get stuck (I'm at 136 right now, 5'3", 47 y.o. female). Why is that weight difficult? Is it psychological? I'm wondering if I'm afraid to be in the 120s.. does that sound weird? or if it is some metabolic thing about that weight..

I think it must be psychological. Do you get sloppy with your logging around that weight?0

Incidentally, I have not been my current weight in well over a decade. If the body truly did have a set point, wouldn't it have gotten stuck at the place it was for several years?0

I'm 5'4" and honestly have so much trouble budging from 133/130 into the 120s. I see some women with our stats do it just fine but man...it's like pure torture for me. I just quit. There's just little room for error so it goes slow, and we are kind of short.0

Could be psychological. This time around, try to not weigh yourself after you hit 131. Keep dieting and exercising and logging, but don't get on the scale for a month or two. (I'd you can't do that, I get it. Just an idea.)
I cannot seem to get my body into the Normal BMI range. It has fought me so hard lately! But if it thinks we aren't getting smaller, it has another think coming. We are. I upped the exercise. We're going down!0 -
