Implying he was a dwarf because his calories was a certain amount was sketchy.

Sure, but he originally said that he ate 250 g protein, 22 g carbs, and 70 g fat. It must have been a typo, because he changed it now. But that would have been 1718 calories per day. To gain 2 lbs per week on those calories, his TDEE would have to be 718. Factoring in a few hundred calories for exercise, that’s a BMR of maybe 400. So the original numbers made no sense at all.

(To get a BMR of 400 at 205 lbs, the BMR calculator on this site says that you’d have to be ½ inch tall and 108 years old.)

    22g was a typo. Sorry

Yeah, I figured that out. It’s not a problem. I was just realllllly confused at first.

Im doing powerbuilding routine working with josh bryant. Brand new to this. Before working with him i was 185 in sep14 and jan 15 i was weighing 210 staying around 13%bf the whole time.

Natural bodybuilders typically gain 15 to 30 lbs of muscle their first year IF they do everything right (training, nutrition, rest, etc.). The second year, assuming they work just as hard, they can gain about half that. The third year, about half what they gained the second year. On a clean bulk most people will gain fat and muscle in equal amounts, which is why a bulk is usually followed by a cut.

You're saying you already gained 25 pounds total weight, most of it muscle, in only four months. (Hang on, calculator time.) Ok, so you gained 22 lbs of lean mass and only 3 lbs of fat, all in only four months.

Assuming you're telling us the truth and there are no typos in what you've posted, you either have some freakishly good genes, or you're on drugs. Most people can't get anywhere near those results without steroids.

just to be clear- you said NOTHING about water weight- you specifically indicated 22 pounds of lean mass- and only 3 pounds of fat with this statemen right here- and I'll quote you directly

even if it's water weight- you're not going to stay at anyone's 13% water weight. That's just NOT how this works.

but what do I know- i'm just over here fighting the slow gain muscle fight game.

    And you're a female.
I love how this community believes everything is so simple, everyone must gain or lose the same. I should open my journal up and show how things aren't always so simple but I know even then I'd get you must been not telling the truth you're lying about grams or not measuring right. The problem I have nothing to gain or no reason to lie.

I am in a caloric deficit of about 200-300 calories depending on my workouts. I don't log cardio or weight lifting and eat around 2k calories. I was even at 2400 calories for a while. I actual lost more weight when I ate more. Anyways, I have only lost inches last month 1 inch in my chest and my stomach and still weigh the same I did when I started my program weight lifting two years ago. In theory I should have lost weight compared to 90 percent of the people who frequent here. I didn't I guess we could call it water weight but I even cut down one 16 ounce bottle water a day, So I even drink less water.

My strength has increased dramatically which I have videos on my Facebook page that I can prove as well. People have this misconception you need to bulk to gain muscle, well I must be the exception to that rule. I have been lifting for years so I know it's not "newbie" gains, im in a caloric deficient and I am 34 years old, with average hormones. The point, it's not always black and white. It may work for the majority , but until people work out in the field with a variety of clients they shouldn't be giving any advice or jump to any conclusions.

Well, prohormones are basically oral steroids. Reason why they are a schedule III drug now. So now makes sense on the gains.
