hi everyone
I started my commitment to my own fitness and health 12 days ago. Myfitnesspal has been so helpful in keeping me in check. I finally understand how keeping a food diary can really hold myself accountable.
In the past 12 days I've lost 6 lbs. of which I am fairly certain 3 lbs are water weight which would fluctuate.
Just some background. I work really long hours so it's hard to have time for work outs. I've been incorporating 10000 steps into my daily routine. And eating a 1600 calorie diet. I've generally found broth soups with lots of veggies and some meat to be an effective way to fill out and hit my calorie target.
My breakfast is usually a banana and two hard boiled eggs or two over medium eggs with avocado.
Would love to hear everyone's journey.

Dont give up. Dont give up. Dont give up. If you have a day or a week or a month of IDGAF, get back on the horse and Dont give up. Dont give up. Dont give up.0

Very true. It's also really helpful to talk to other people like everyone here who have common goals0

Wonderful! Losing is so motivating! Success breeds success. It's a great thing.
Take the time to enjoy your successes along the way. Failing to do that more often...it's something I regret.
And...for many of us, it comes off really quickly at first and then slows down to a more normal pace. Don't get discouraged if your weight loss slows down to a pound or two a week. Some weeks, you might lose nothing, but hang in there because the next week you might loose extra.

Thank you everyone! I really appreciate all the encouraging words. My plan is to continue the calorie plan (because I dont feel deprived and this seems to be a good pace to lose extra pounds) and hit 10,000 steps every day.
After 4 weeks, Im going to try to incorporate going to dance classes like Zumba or something (because that's fun and I'll be more motivated to make time to go). Baby steps.0
