Aright well I'm taking the advice of a friend and giving carb cycling a shot. I'm about 12 hrs in and ready to loose my mind lol. Any else tried this dieting method before? What kinda tips you got for making it through the low carb days, and how low were your carbs on the low days? So far just been eating meats and eggs and whey, threw an ounce of Almonds in to for good measure, but im still having a hard time eating all these protein and fats... any suggestions other than Going to the closest pasture, picking out the tastiest looking cow and savagely eating the entire thing?

I hear you; the first week I tried carb cycling I almost cried. I was tired, hungry, cranky...they sometimes call it the "low carb 'flu" BUT I lost 9 lbs my first "cycle" (3 weeks). I'd been stuck for months so I was thrilled. I have continued to cycle 3 days/week. I try to keep my net carbs under 40 grams. I read Chris Powell's book "Choose more to lose more" & it was really helpful. The key is to not be afraid of fat on your low carb days. I eat eggs, cheese, tuna, fish, shrimp, all kinds of meat & nuts. Also try to eat lower carb/ high fibre veggies like celery & beans. I avoid fruit on low carb days. Quest bars are great as they are only 6 or 7 net carbs, fairly tasty & very filling. Now that I'm used to it, I find I'm less hungry on my low carb days even though I eat less calories. Keep at it. Good luck!

Check out the message board called Carb Cyclers Unite. There are newbies and those who have been doing it for a while.
