I am thinking of upgrading to premium, I have been using the app for over a year and I love it, I was wanting to know from those who use the premium, do you like it better, is it worth the $49 per year fee?

I wanted to track my micros before MFP came out with it, so I bought software elsewhere. I cannot speak to MFP's one because I haven't used it, but I highly recommend tracking your micros. Vitamins and minerals are so much more important than how many gram of protein vs. fat, IMO.
I've seen many people say that if you meet your macros, your micros take care of themselves. Ha! No! If you're like most of America, you'll find out that you're short on potassium and a number of others.
It's more work, tracking micros, seeing where you need to improve, etc. Labels don't offer that info, so you need to look stuff up in the USDA database, which is designed exactly like you'd expect a government database to be designed - incomplete and hard to use. But you get used to it after a while.
I think it's a good thing to track if you're really into wanting to know. If MFP had sold it when I wanted to buy it, I would've bought it here, lol, but ifs and buts are just for nuts.0 -
Great thank you, I really wish they would do a free trial period. But overall I use MFP everyday and feel like it is a great product.
thanks for your input

I've been wondering this also. Is the food data base more accurate then the free one?0
