What type of asthma do you have? Triggers? Rescue method? Where do you plan to jog...treadmill or outdoors? Age range? When were you last hospitalized for asthma ? Do you intend to run with a buddy?0

It depends on how bad your asthma is but a program like couch 2 5k where it starts you out only running like 30 seconds at a time could be good. My asthma is pretty minor and just exercise induced, but I love running because if I do it regularly my asthma disappears pretty much (same with my seasonal allergies). If your asthma is worse though you might have to adjust the program for your needs, like you can repeat the first week until you're ready to progress. Also, it's important to build up and do it regularly. If you take too much time off, you'll have to start from the beginning again which sucks (speaking from personal experience). You can always talk to your doctor about it too to make sure you're healthy enough to start running.
Oh one last note, cold air makes asthma worse so it's good to get started now during the summer and build up your endurance, unless you'll be running inside in which case it wouldn't matter0 -
For almost every new runner my advice is slow down and then slow down some more.....0
