anyone else having this issue or know what to do about it? I use an iPhone to build my recipes. They are usually fine the first time I add everything and log the recipe when I have a serving. But if I go back to the recipe a week or so later, suddenly all the i gepredients in the recipe except one or two are gone -- and of course the calorie count only reflects the remaining ingredients. I cannot log a serving of a recipe and have to rebuild the entire recipe. With complicated recipes with a lot of ingredients, this is beyond frustrating.

Wow, that is really frustrating! I've never seen that to be honest. What happens with me is that my calorie goal constantly changes automatically. This morning I found it to be more than 200kcal higher and it's supposed to be for losing 2lbs per week. I'm at maintenance, and that's what I set it to!

I haven't seen that, OP, but I will be on the lookout for it now that you have posted!

yirara do you have any apps synced with myfitnesspal? It could be causing it

I mainly use the website, and every now and then the official app. Nothing else as I prefer manual entries. But the changing calories and goal also happens when I only use the website. Just checked my profile: nothing is synced accidentally.

I've noticed that it sometimes adds random ingredients when I try to import a recipe.

    Also this:

The duplicate items sometimes fill the whole list and no way to get the official USDA item unless you explicitly type "Cherries, sweet, raw" for example.

I wish we could "block" certain entries from appearing in search or at least a simple checkbox to filter to only confirmed items.

I agree. I usually type "usda cherries sweet raw grams" sometime it doesn't help.

For my food diary, I've completely given up on the database.

I'm typing everything into My Foods and then not sharing it with the database. Since we can't use My Foods in the recipe builder, I'm just saving recipes in My Meals instead.

I use an iPhone for all my recipes too and have not noticed this issue. Did you email technical support? There used to be a similar bug where the entire recipe would disappear after it was edited, but then it would return after a few hours. Still frustrating

Yes, i input it with my phone. I think it may be a syncing issue with my iPad. The recipe on my phone is still there, thank goodness. It's dumped all but one ingredient on the ipad.
