Fitbit - MFP - HRM - Zumba

Hi!
I have just got into Zumba and am using an HRM to measure what calories I get through. I also wear my fitbit at the same time so its picking up steps but obviously I am working a bit harder than if i just went for a stroll for that number of steps so I wanted to log my calories from the HRM.

So would I be right to just take the calories from the HRM and log into Fitbit and it will merge? ie. the number of steps taken and how many calories I burned?

Plus, should I remove background calories from what my HRM reads (the calories you would have used sitting still anyway) before I log the number in fitbit?

Thanks, I am not sure how well I have explained this so sorry if its as clear as mud!
