calories from marinades

I have a lot of recipes that uses marinades, most of it I just throw away as excess when I start to cook. Yet when I put in a recipe all those calories are counted as consumed.
How do I document what I've really eaten.

Weigh the marinade before and weigh what's left after and subtract it.0
