Going to New york for 5 days?

I am going to New York with my family in july and although i don't want to gain weight< obviously, i also want to enjoy myself. Does anyone have any advice. I will be eating from the hotel continental breakfast everyday, and then going out for meals at restaurants the rest of the time. Should i count calories still, or just mind what i eat. I also will be walking a ton but i am not planning on doing any other forms of exercise.

    Just mind what you eat - it'll be too difficult to keep track, and you don't want to lose out on sightseeing time. You'd be amazed at how much the walking makes a difference, especially when you're on your feet all day long. Enjoy your vacation. (:
