tips re: still hungry everyday

It's been a month and I have lost 8 pounds which is great but I am still hungry everyday. In the past it stopped after about 2 or 3 days but maybe I am being better about following / tracking my diet. Any tips on curbing the hunger especially at night?

    I meticulously log everything ... often pre-logging ... and make sure I've got a couple hundred calories left by about 10 pm so I can have a small snack.

    Drink your water or herb tea. Try to stay busy at night doing things instead of watching tv. That's when I get hungry.Then go to bed and read so you are away from the food!

    Eat higher protein and fibre to fill you up more.
    Yesterday was my first day back after my holidays so I was starving this morning. A quick breakfast of gammon and eggs followed by a protein shake with fibre powder added and I feel full.

    I don't know if you exercise or not, but that would help curb your appetite and allow you more calories to eat.

    Don't skip breakfast - get a good breakfast with a good bit of protein and some healthy fat. That seems to help avoid the cravings, especially night cravings, oddly enough.

    For me, it has also helped to cut out pointless carbs - pasta, bread, crackers, etc. Eating those seems to make me crave more of them. I'm not doing low carb - I still eat carbs that come laden with a good portion of micronutrients (i.e., fruits, veggies) or fiber (e.g., oatmeal) - portions within reason, of course. Eating some fruit seems to help me avoid craving less-healthful sweets like candy. These things may not work for all; it seems we're all different!

    And I second what was said above about drinking plenty of water. Getting enough sleep helps, too, IMO - maybe by better replenishing my mental clarity/will power.
