That's because she isn't a "do nothing *kitten*"  :laugh:0

She really is a great fighter! I would pay good money to step into a sparring ring with that woman and learn what I could over the course of a couple hours.0

Nonsense, that would be a moment I would cherish forever! There might be momentary pain but long after it has faded I would remember the doing of it and that makes it all worth while.0

I'm good with conversions and throws.. it's the reaps I need help with. I've never successfully done an outside reap and every time I've gone for an inside I end up in the almost perfect position to convert over to hane goshi. Which.. It's probably my favorite throw outside of uki goshi (something that is almost impossible to get past on anyone remotely experienced in Judo)

That was the best money ever spent for me! I mean compared to her last fight this one lasted forever! lol0

I really need tv again so I can start checking out these fights. Women's MMA was barely even a thing last time I had tv. *sigh* The althleticism (sp?) in both genders is f'ing incredible.0

Lol, I just thought it was great after all the trash talk Correia was throwing around, like how she hoped Rousey wouldn't commit suicide after Correia beat her, and how Rousey was just media hype. You go against Rousey thinking that and you deserve what's coming.0
-
I wasn't expecting a great fight. Correia went into that fight undefeated yes, but her fights were not against great opponents. She was only the 8th seed. Rousey took the trash talk about stand up and destroyed her at her own game. Rousey isn't going anywhere for a while. The chick is a damned monster in the ring, and can still rock the *kitten* out of a dress and heels. I'd like to roll with her.0

It was a good fight although I was hoping it would last longer than 38 seconds.
I thought the entire night was filled with good fights.0 -

She's so dominant its barely worth money to watch until somebody can take her on. I love Rowdy Rhonda Rousey though0

Holly is my hometown girl...Burque in the house...representing and making the 505 super proud. Holly is a bad *kitten* and has been for a long time...she was dominant in Mui Thai, then boxing, MMA, and now UFC. Looking forward to the inevitable rematch.0

I thought it interesting that she was such an underdog...Holly has been a dominant fighter for a long time in numerous disciplines and has a lot more experience...but she's just a local girl from Burque so I think a lot of people took it for granted that Rousey would win. Here in the 505 we never doubted for a second because we know Holly.0 -

hi stranger0 -
Having watched the fight I cannot believe why she would be thought an underdog for any rematch. She dominated round one and completely obliterated Rousey in the second round. She remained cool and collected throughout. Incredible technique, strength and professionalism. What a great sport as well, before and after the fight during the interviews. I really like Rousey, but Holly is worthy of praise and respect. I'm rooting for her in any rematch.0

It's funny to me how quick the internet has turned against Rousey. A career is made of wins and losses; good days and bad. The fact of the matter is that Rousey is still an incredible fighter regardless of the outcome of Saturday's bout, and I can't speak for all men, but she could still eat me for breakfast on her worst day.0

I think now that its come out how she domestically abused her boyfriend, her throwing the cheapshot after the bell, her running her mouth about being able to beat Mayweather...idk, not really surprising at all to me that the tide is turning now that she finally lost.
I think that has a lot to do with it and I think the tide was turning before the fight. I think there were a lot of people rooting for Holly...I'm biased as she's from Albuquerque which is where I live and she's good friends with my cousin and my sister (sadly I have never met her but I feel all geeky asking my sister or cousin for an introduction)...but just from listening to radio, etc it seems there were a lot of people pulling for Holly though most didn't think it could happen.
Again, I'm biased but for the most part Burquenos saw this coming a mile away...Holly is a very experienced fighter. She started doing Mui Thais at a relatively young age before becoming a professional boxer where she defended her titles 18 times in three weight classes. She's no stranger to that spotlight and is a world class fighter and a champion long before this. Somehow all of that got lost in the lead up to the fight which surprises me.0
