I *kitten* hate threads where someone asks for help with something and then finds all the excuses in the world not to take the advice or listen. Shut the *kitten* up, already. Don't ask for help if you're NOT going to listen to helpful suggestions.

I've been contemplating exercise a lot lately. Not in the sense as to whether I should do it. Of course I should, and I do. But I had been considering a marathon in a few months and I'm at the point where a 3hr training run is not something I feel like doing. So I'm good for a half-marathon, but lacking the desire to train for a full. Full disclosure: I've done a lot of races, and a lot of distances, and this is the first time I've ever looked at a training plan and said, "Nope, just don't want to commit to this."

I'm very aware of my body lately. The creaks and cracks it makes sometimes, and the morning stiffness.

Anyone else ever abandoned a race goal? How'd you feel when you did?

    Wut.

So i assist adults with developmental disabilities and this guy doesn't do stores but it wasn't in any of his notes so I didn't know. Nonverbal, very strong. We go to target and this guy wants some crayons, and he only has 50 cents with him amd grabs 5 40 dollar boxes of crayons, and tries to pay with his 50 cents and leave. Well thats not gonna fly, so i try to wrestle them away from him but this guy is strong as *kitten*. End up chasing him through target and damn near tackling him to get him to stop grabbing at people. Security comes round, real nice, just trying to contain the situation. Totally not ready for this situation. Police come and try to get him to put them down but he is not having it so the police walk us to our car where we put the crayons in the trunk(first time he will split with them) and he gets in the car. Police take the crayons from the trunk to target. Very stressful day.

I confess I'm hating these hot flashes I'm having. I know it's not menopause.

Wow. Glad everyone is relatively OK. You're a champ for doing that job in the first place.

You're an angel for doing the job you do. Very few people could deal with that, much less do it well. My cousin has an aide, so I'll thank you on behalf of the families of people that require assistance. I hope you hear that directly from your clients' families.

I only tell people about 35% of my thoughts because I don't think they could handle the rest.
