Buying clothes during weight loss

During weight loss, changing sizes in clothes is a given. How do we budget this without wasting money on clothes that won't fit in a few months? I am sure many of you have experience with this and can give good advice.

I have lost a little over 50 lbs now. My clothes are getting loose, and my belt is the only thing holding my pants up! I will need to get new jeans and tops within the next month. However, I still have 40 lbs to lose, so my size will continue to change. I feel like it's almost a waste of money to buy anything until near the end.

Thrift and consignment stores can be fun, but it's definitely not a quick buy - you want to spend time in the stores to get the good stuff. They can be very affordable, though. I buy my bras and underwear from affordable department stores like JCPenny and Kohl's. They usually have a good holiday or weekend deal going on like BOGO that can make things much easier for the pocketbook.

Just buy a few things. You don't want to go buy a whole new closet of things - but getting a few new things that fit nice will really show you how much you have accomplished and be a good motivator. (at least that is how it usually works for me..... :) )

This!!! Definately go for some "staples" jeans/ black pants, stuff like that and just get a few new tops (or slightly used  ) then go through your closet and find all those items that were a little snug before you lost weight and try them on again maybe with different items? Good luck!! Great problem to have!!
