Hiya, my name is Julie I live in Kent, UK. I'm nearing 50 and enough is enough. I've had a lot going on this year (some still ongoing), but I really need to reign it in and start looking after myself.
I've been half-heartedly doing the Harcombe diet (high fat, low carbs) and it was working for me at the start (hubby has lost 4 stone on it I lost 10lbs). I'm having a shoulder op on Monday and then will be off work for around 8 weeks and I'm determined to go back to work slimmer than I am now. I can't really exercise at the moment, but plan to get back into walking whilst off (at the moment I feel like there's a 10" nail jammed into my shoulder).
So my plan now is Harcombe but list everything here (they do suggest no listing), give myself a set amount of calories. Drink loads of water each day. Look after myself. Think positively.
