I haven't had a proper meal since I became vegetarian which was about 1 year ago. I also feel like I'm going to pass out because of the lack of food. I now have to have 6 multivitamins just to get through the day. It would be really helpful if you could list vegetarian meals that are easy to make and the ingredients are available in the UK

By all means I'm not vegan but I'm willing to help. One of my favorite meals is red salmon or moose steak with asparagus and potatoes. I understand you can't have meat so if you can find something to substitute that. If you're on a budget rice is a very good option. If you're looking for something with good calories I suggest potatoes(sweet is my favorite). Green bean casserole or a salad with croutons. Oatmeal with some berries for a meal in the morning or Toast with olive oil for the morning.
Is dairy an option for you?

Ratatouille as silly as the name is, is a very good, simple vegan dish that is full of fiber and nutrients.

What have you been eating for the past year if you "haven't had a proper meal"? And why did you become vegetarian if you had no idea what to eat? I smell a rat as it's very easy to meet one's caloric needs without meat.

In any case, as a good starting point, I'd recommend getting a slow cooker and a vegetarian slow cooker recipe book, or try Google:

I've been a vegetarian for almost 4 years now. I find it pretty easy to just cut out meat from meals I already eat. Spaghetti, salad, veggie burgers, omelets (if you eat eggs), even sandwiches. I've been on a soup kick lately, so the next recipe I am going to try is this. I think the ingredients sound pretty easy to get outside the US http://simplytaralynn.com/2013/01/19/58-calorie-crock-pot-minestrone-soup/
