Losing too fast?

At first I was losing around 0.5 lbs a week on 1200 cals and no exercise. Since exercising for 30-45 mins, 5 days a week and still eating 1200, I've lost 3.5 lbs in 2 weeks. Is this too fast?

My CW is now 130-131 lbs and I'm aiming for 112.

How tall are you? Did you set calories to lose 1lb per week or 1/2lb per week? Are you eating back any calories expended on exercise?

I'm 5'3", I've set calories to lose 1lb a week and I only eat about 20-100 of the exercise calories back.

As long as you aren't malnourished, you can't lose too fast.

So your goal is 1 pound a week and you're losing 1.75 pounds a week? Granted, weight loss isn't linear, but you might want to reevaluate your deficit.

Should I up my calories or lower my exercise? Or both?

Any combination. If it were me and I felt I might be losing weight more quickly than I wanted to and I was comfortable with the amount of exercise I was doing, I'd be all about eating a little more and seeing how things went.

This isn't true. You can still lose more LBM than otherwise even while not being malnourished.

I think I'd rather lower my exercise. I might take a week off and then get back to it, doing 45 minutes (burning around 300 cals) 3-4 days a week.
