L-Carnitine

Every morning before a workout I have my special ritual... I take water with lemon first, then a shake (I can't breakfast solids because I have a lap band and my digestiom takes longer) and take my excersise suplements: a caffeine pill, an iron pill (this is actually because I suffer from talacemia), a green tea pill, fish oil pill and an l-carnitine.
At the end they are A LOT of pills.
A few days ago I saw that you can buy L-carnitine in a liquid form. Would you recommend me to switch to the liquid form? I would like to decrease the pills amount..
Regards

I need it for almost all of its benefits...
Energy increase, fat loss, muscle mass and immune system boost
I lift and do lots of cardio so it really helps and haven't got sick for a while. But I just really want to decrease the pills amount. Its pretty annoying

Obviously a good healthy diet helps too.
Before any supplement shamers appear to complain.
I just need to know which form is better.... liquid or pill0 -
exactly the same - check the amounts one has vs the other and take a decision, no difference between liquid or solid form.
From a results point of view tho - an no, i am not a supplement shamer - there is very little point (if any) in taking it... just like the green tea pill. All others make sense but them two....0 -

OP... are you even in a caloric surplus with a lifting program to build muscle?
Caloric deficit works fine for fat loss - no need for supplements at all.

well L is not totally useless, but it's really only mildly effective at lower body fat % and in extreme doses. When i was down at like 15% bf, i was taking something like 12 pills a day, along with 6 cla pills. In that sense it financially doesn't pass the test for it's limited effectiveness and necessary high doses. Also, eat red meat, and you will get plenty of L in your diet. Seems like if you have the band, you can't eat much anyways, and it is really just going to be a waste of $ or a placebo effect at best.0

And why on earth did you get a lap band to lose 10lbs? Something smells fishy here, and it's not the fish oil?!?!?0

We don't know anything about the OP up until this point...
She could have got a lap band a while ago to lose more weight previously... we don't know.
Stop assuming things.

I bet you can find something with the green tea, caffeine, and l-carnitine in it. For instance, my preworkout has all those, plus more. Lift is what it's called, it's a pill....I also use Prime Drive which is a drink and has much of the same. Funny I'm on iron as well, but I do have a liquid form my Dr calls it into the pharmacy, it's easier on my digestive system than the pills - when I was pregnant I had to do the IV infusions, it sucked.0

don't judge... I did the lap band almost 5 years ago and lost 80 pounds (40kg) I was really overweight and had issues by then with my health. My band is not super tight so I can still eat some meat but still not enough... and I still needs lots of iron.
L-carnitine has worked for me so far with other suplementation now... I already lost all the bad weight... I dont need to be skinny...
I want to get to the next level..0 -
To be the best version of myself... and get to a specific fat percentage too0

I have the powder form of L-Carnitine. I have tried the pills however prefer the powder as I can mix it with my protein shake. although be aware it does how an "acquired" taste although I am one of the weird ones that don't mind it (in short doses).0

2 grams of L-carnitine along with 80 grams of a high-glycemic carb first thing in the morning and four hours later.
Sorry to bump the thread.0 -
Thanks!0

There are many peer-reviewed studies regarding the effects of coffee on iron absorption. I would chance a guess that the caffeine pill has a similar effect and is probably not necessary (or good) to take if you have iron deficiency. The green tea one too. Just drink some instead. Iced is nice!1
