I'm getting pretty discouraged. I am NOT a quitter though!! I have been at this for three weeks...yes not that long but i'm getting impatient. I haven't really moved any on the scale. Low carb diet, i'm always under my calorie goal, and i swim for exercise and do pool workouts. Just really discouraging that nothing has moved on the scale!!!

What's your calorie intake? I've seen lots of circumstances when people under-eat, start to eat a bit more, and then start losing weight (personal experience too). If you're pretty active, you need to feed your body so it can perform better. This is even more true if you don't have much to lose.

"haven't really" could either mean nothing or several pounds but you'r expectation are too high. How much have you lost, have you taken body measurements?

Three weeks isn't that long, to be honest.
Although if you aren't losing any weight, it's likely that you are underestimating your calorie intake. Are you weighing all your solid foods? Buy a digital food scale and start weighing - you'll be surprised how far off the calorie count is between measuring and weighing.

    This, all of this!

Also, what are you using to judge your exercise calories?

I have lost 1 pound. I do not have a food scale i am now going to look into buying one. I calculated my calorie intake i should be eating to loose weight and MFP was correct on that, however i'm not even meeting that calorie intake. I use this app to get how much calories i've burned from swimming. I am trying to get my fit bit set up and i'm going to start using my treadmill also. The link helped i appreciate the info!

I know three weeks isn't long enough. i'm just super impatient lol also two years ago i did the south beach diet and within the first 2-3 weeks i lost a lot, i know most was water weight but i am also doing the low carb diet again as well so that's why i don't understand why nothing has moved.... weight wise that is.

The food scale thing may seem like it won't make much of a difference, but trust someone who was a non-believer-it really does!

Also, MFP is notorious for over-estimating calories burned, so most people recommend taking that number and either taking a half or a third of that and counting that.

I have a fitbit zip-I absolutely love it, it has made al the difference! I feel so lost if the battery dies :p

    Good luck!

Maybe easier said than done, but try to remember the goal is weight loss. Permanent weight loss, not just tricking the scale to a lower # by dropping water weight only. 1 pound is progress - so keep moving forward. You can do this!

You don't have a lot to lose, so 1 lb in 3 weeks is really good!

Same here. The scale barely moves
For me lol. But I'm losing inches which is more of a focus point. Don't get discourage of what the scale says. If your maintaining weight, losing inches and feel your clothes feeling looser, you doing good
