Hello!
I'm eating at a deficit and I'm losing weight. I'm jogging, walking and doing the strong curves program. Will I losey muscle because I'm losing weight? I don't want to lose my muscles!

    Yes, you'll lose some.

Eat enough protein and lift and you'll preserve as much as you can.

Track your body fat% while you're losing. You can do the math to decide if you're losing too much muscle and need to add more heavy weights. But you're pretty much guaranteed to lose SOME muscle.

As the above post said, eating enough protein and some kind of strength training will help preserve muscle mass. Also I believe that losing the weight slowly and steadily can help too.

Ensure you eat back your protein to help preserve your muscle mass. I know nothing about Strong Curves, but assuming this is a resistance program?

Losing some muscle mass in deficit is very common - continually monitor your body and adjust your resistance training accordingly.

You may lose some, but as long as you continue with Strong Curves and keep the load as heavy as you can for the higher reps prescribed, I think you'll be ok. I am also doing SC in a deficit, hoping to shed some fat and not lose a ton of muscle.

So once you're at a happy weight do you eat at a surplus and weight train? I'd really like my body to show muscle, but need to drop about 20lbs of fat.

You'd eat at maintenance and lift.

I think most people lose some muscle when they lose fat. IDK if I have, but probably. I haven't lost any strength though, which is the important thing to me.
