    It is what it is. One time I knew they were in a relationship and did it anyhow. The other time I didn't know at first. If it wasn't me it would've been someone else.

    Yup, more than a couple of times. Figured it out pretty quickly though and always found a way to let the affected party know.

    Yes. I was in my 20s. He was in his 40s. Handsome, sophisticated, worldly, wealthy, and (I later discovered) married. While his wife and kids (!) were tucked away at their summer place on Fire Island...he was alone in Manhattan. The relationship ended when the summer did. And while I had my suspicions (why did he go away most weekends...he claimed to have a summer share, but never invited me) I never got the whole truth until after we broke up.

    I know it's not obvious when you're living it, but.. that is very obvious when you go back and think about it :D Live and learn
