what are you trying to "detox" from?
Duh! Toxins and other environmental poisons that bio-accumulate along our cardio-digestive pathway.
OP - I can really help you out. I've recently introduced a juicing phase to the cleanse and it's proving to really help people jump start their cardiobolic processing. I've gotta say that all the peeps on my cleanse program are fully satisfied with their results.
Do you rip out the eyes before you juice them? I am fascinated by this new phase of your cleanse. Is the juice used for a few days before transitioning back into solids?
OP, if you are still following this, cleanses are unnecessary. You say you have lost 16lbs in the last few months (two or three?), that's a reasonable loss rate. Since you have started a new routine, as long as your eating has remained consistent, you are likely retaining some water weight. Give it a few more weeks as it, or start using the food scale. Two weeks no loss, with a new routine is insufficient time to really know. My opinion: keep on.0 -

The eyes can be removed with the screwdriver from an eyeglass repair kit. I find that method to be the most effective and...satisfying. I'm starting to think "juice" might not be the right word...

If you're still following along, and still want to "cleanse"... (as in, produce copious bowl movements)
Eating whole fruit is a good idea.
Drinking pulverized fruit as a slurry is an OK idea.
Drinking lots of fruit juice is NOT. Lots of calories, esp. sugars, no fiber to slow its digestion, so you're going to
go waaaay over your calorie limit for the day and still feel hungry. And you're losing lots of the nutrition too.
Or you could do what people do to prep for a colonoscopy: use most of a bottle of miralax. A dose every hour
in 8 - 16 oz of water should do it. Drink more water & clear fluids to compensate for the diarrhea.0 -
As long as your liver and kidney's are functioning properly, you are being detoxed.0

Just like food has macro and micronutrients, it also has macrotoxins and microtoxins. These toxins get stored in various neural pathways and digestive ducts. It's hard to get them out once they accumulate, but a proper cleanse can really help. Let me know if you want more info.
You are way too good at this. I was almost gonna write an angry post until I saw the name.
True. I was like, "DAFUQ?"

Peep Cleanse (TM) is serious bizness!!!! Don't mock the monoglucosaccharides!0 -
Some are and some aren't. Some, like a weekend juice fast, will probably not do you any major harm. There's a good chance that the worst thing would be some diarrhea. Others, like swallowing massive amounts of salt, can kill you if you don't vomit up whatever harmful thing you've done to yourself.
If you want to keep bloating in check, watch your sodium. This won't always stop bloating at period time, but it will be a big help.
I'm not a fan of the word "cleanse" because you're really not cleaning anything, but I understand what most people mean when they say it.
Just be careful. I'd call the doctor and run any cleanse by them before undertaking it. There are some really dangerous ones out there. I spent maybe ten minutes on the web once and found at least three that could do serious harm. Be really careful.
*laughs*
Call the doctor?
To check on a completely nonsensical detox
