Why doesn't myfitnesspal limit the choices for wright loss goal?

Why does myfitnesspal limit the goal choices for weight loss? I do great job if I aim for losing 1lb per month. Faster weight loss leads me to failure.

Your post is confusing, the title asks why MFP doesn't limit choices, but your post asks why MFP does limit choices.

MFP provides four difference choices for weight loss goals: 2 lbs., 1.5 lbs., 1 lb., or 0.5 lbs. per week plus a maintenance goal. Since it takes about a 3500 Calorie deficit per week, or 500 Calorie deficit per day to lose 1 lb. per week, it would take about a 125 Calorie deficit per day to lose about 0.25 lbs. per week.

I would suggest you set your goal to maintenance, and try to achieve a 125 Calorie per day deficit on average. That way, when you do reach your goal, you already have your maintenance goal set and you can then just eat up to that maintenance goal.
