Magnesium Citrate Calories?

Hi all!
I take magnesium citrate daily (the cherry or lemon flavored 10oz bottle that you can buy at CVS or Rite Aid) and I was wondering how many calories if any, were in the whole bottle?
I'm really hoping there are no calories considering I've been taking it everyday and it has helped a ton...
Thanks!

Have you tried scanning the barcode? Also it is in the database so you could always check there. (and it says 0 calories)0

You're not swallowing a bottle every day, are you? I'm thinking you aren't or maybe there is some watered-down OTC version.
I doubt there are enough calories in mag citrate to make any appreciable difference and wouldn't worry about it if there isn't an entry or any details on the label.0 -
Temporary Weight Loss
Magnesium citrate may cause temporary weight loss due to the severe diarrhea it causes. The weight loss is due to the loss of water and the contents of the large intestines. After the person returns to normal eating and bowel habits, the weight will return easily because little to no fat was lost. Most of the calories from food are absorbed in the small intestines and stomach prior to entering the large intestines where the laxative works.
Laxative Abuse
If you are using magnesium citrate or other laxatives as a method for weight loss, you should stop immediately and get weight loss advice from a physician or dietitian. If you are having trouble stopping, you should be evaluated for an eating disorder by a physician. Overuse of laxatives causes loss of fluid, electrolytes and minerals, and can lead to severe dehydration, kidney failure and liver damage.

Why are you doing this to yourself? Long-term daily use of laxatives causes all sorts of health problems. Unless not being able to poop on your own is a goal.0

I can only imagine what this is doing to your insides if you are drinking an entire bottle a day!0
