1 stone? Isn't that like 16 pounds or something?
Seems a bit much to lose in 6 weeks.
Especially if that's all you have to lose.0 -
Was it a surprise holiday?
17lbs ...allow 17 weeks roughly
In 6 weeks you could probably safely lose about 6-12lbs (including the initial whoosh of water weight)
Eat at a calorie defecit ...aim for a 1lb a week loss

Lift heavy things and put them down ..see Strong Curves or New rules of lifting for women or websites like http://stronglifts.com/5x5/
Actually at home do bodyweight like http://www.nerdfitness.com/blog/2009/12/09/beginner-body-weight-workout-burn-fat-build-muscle/0 -
In six weeks? Not going to happen.
Drat these surprise holidays, proms, graduations, weddings, birthdays, special events that just POP out of nowhere with only a few weeks to go!0 -
You are not going to be able to get the body you want in six weeks. You might, and I can't stress that enough, be able to get it in several months but the majority of people who get "toned" up, take quite some time. I would also recommend what @rabbitjb mention.0
