New to Weight Lifting

Im new to barbells and squats and will actually be going to an appointment with my BFF/sister to work with a fitness specialtist to set up a routine that works best for us:bigsmile: . Even though im going to this i would love some pointers from you all on the best methods i could use being new to lifting weight. Right now im just working on barbells and squats i havent moved up too bench press just yet i have weak upper body strength :laugh:

    Google for the series "So you think you can squat?" and "So you think you can bench?". Plenty of form pointers in there from some guys who know.

    Also, if you can get a copy of "Starting Strength", the author goes into massive detail about how to do the main lifts, technique, form, etc.....
