40 yr. old mom to 7, 5'1" 176lbs,

HI, I am 5'1" and weigh 176.2 as of this morning. Was 174.2 last week. Started at 188.8. Ugh. I am a busy Mom to 7 kids. I am tracking my calories every day for the last month at least. 1500 calories. I have been working out by doing c25k (week 7) and 30 day shred (day 4) or a brisk 1.25 mile walk. Working out by one or the other 6 days a week. I am baffled as to why I gained 2 lbs this week?? I have tried loosing weight at 1200 calories a day but end up going over and then giving up. 1500 calories seemed like a realistic goal, but now I am wondering?? I am very serious about loosing weight and am not going to quit. Would love advice and maybe some like minded people who we could hold each other accountable. I know I need to eat cleaner and am trying, but do find that challenging. Thanks

    Congratulations on your progress! It's a marathon, not a sprint and you are doing great!

    Don't sweat fluctuations on the scale- there are a whole myriad of reasons they occur- none to do with failure. Make sure you are getting plenty of water, and try to eat healthy, unprocessed foods- not for another reason but, processed stuff has tons of add ins you don't want. If you are starving, you need to change things up. Eat bulk foods like fibrous vegetables, eat healthy fats, these things will satiate you.

    Thanks. Hadnt thought of it as a marathon. : ) Am drinking water for my half my weight.
