Well, here we go.

Hi, my name is Chris. I'm 58 years old and feel every bit of it. I've been diabetic for 19 years and have developed neuropathy below my knees. I exercise 5 days a week but don't seem to be able to lose any weight. So, after a discussion with my doctor, I've decided to go for bariatric surgery. This is not going to be easy. I have to change a lifetimes worth of eating habits. But each journey starts with a single step. So this is it.

hi, and best wishes to you. my husband was diabetic (on 5 large doses of insulin a day plus tablets) till he had bariatric surgery last October(gastric bypass). he is now on one tablet a day and has lost 8 stones since the start of his journey. he always says he couldn't have done it without my support, and I am happy to support others. I have sent you a friends request
