How do you determine macros?

I want to lose weight and gain muscle/tone-up.

I'm currently 164lbs and would like to get down to 126lbs - although it's less about weight, more about my appearance as I've a podgy tummy and 'spare tire' thing going on that I want rid of - I'm sedentary in general as I don't work, but I've just started going to the gym regularly.

Macro calculators seem to be setting my carbs very high - I was previous very low-carb so I'm still in a 'carbs=evil' mindset (I was low-carb for health reasons, not just weight loss, but it's not maintainable when unemployed), but I'm still sure the figures I'm seeing for carbs are far too high.

    To change your carb percents:
    To have fiber show up:
My Home > Goals > Edit Daily Nutrition Goals > Diary Settings > Nutrients tracked~find Carbohydrates on one of the pull down menus > Save Changes.
You could do something like this Carbs 15% / Fat 50% / Protein 35%
. . . .or do any percents you want.

carbs are discretionary, whatever calories you have left over after hitting your protein and fat minimums can go to carbs
