Lost 6-10 lbs in 20 days! Soooo surprised but really happy

i started my journey on July 20. And have been pretty diligent about staying within my 1600 calorie diet and 10000 steps. So far my weight is now fluctuating between 6-10 lbs less. (I'm pretty sure I lost 6 not 10 but I'll take it!)

It's been amazing how little tweaks made a huge difference. And I haven't felt deprived and hungry at all thanks to eating lots of clear soups (loaded with veggies and some meat), having banana or peach for snacks, and cutting out alcohol. (I never drank soda or sugary stuff to begin with)

I think also a big success factor is how supportive my boyfriend and best friend both have been. (As well as the mfp community). Having people to talk to and get feedback is so incredibly helpful. My boyfriend, though he doesn't have to technically lose weight (he's 6'4 and 185 lbs), has been logging his food and running every two days - so I feel like I have a true partner.

Just wanted to say a big thank you to everyone who has taken the time to give me advice. It has kept me on track and motivated.
