Hello!
I'm trying to learn how to cook for two on a VERY low budget. Also, I have a 6 month old, so ease and time are important.

I have a book called How to feed your whole family a healthy, balanced diet by Gill Holcombe. It's designed for low budget, easy recipes and there are recipes that will give you leftovers for freezing and should give you suitable meals for your 6month old. The book also has a weekly menu planning secion that gives you an idea of how much a week would cost (you can roughly follow it or just find your own cheap recipes and use your frozen leftovers to make up meals etc). It's great for little tips and tricks to make food go further! I also find that shopping at Aldi/Lidl are your best bets and if you can shop around or compare prices online, you will save a lot more money. Hopefully you can get sorted!0

Pasta, tinned tomatoes with a bit of garlic and onion, basil. Vegetables...frozen to last longer.
Turkey mince or quorn...lower fat and calories.
Blitz up and purée for the baby whatever you are eating.0
