Hi I am new and I am wanting to loose 7lbs in weight. I have accurately tracked my calories for 15 days. Added exercise and have gained 3lbs. I do eat a lot of potatoes and wholemeal bread but not outside what is my goal amount. Clothes are feeling tighter than when I started aswell .. Any ideas? Thank you

You got fat.You eat too much, its not like you start tracking calories and you lose weight, NO!.You need to eat bellow maintenance calories, use mfp calculator and set it to lose 0.5 pounds,1 pound a week.

Starting a new exercise regime will make your muscles retain water to repair themselves, so that could contribute to the weight gain, though doesn't explain your clothes feeling tighter (which really surprises me, I gained 20lbs and my clothes felt exactly the same... I wish 3lbs would make that much difference for me!). 2 weeks isn't always enough time to see a difference, but just to check, do you weigh everything you eat? Can you open your dairy?

Thank you. I haven't been weighing food maybe I am going wrong with that and before I started on here i did no exercise really so that does help. I guess I am been impatient.

It's definitely a good idea to start weighing food, it can be easy to eat more than you think if you don't. Give it a few more weeks and see how you're doing. Good luck!
