Packed Lunches

What are your suggestions for a packed lunch. I'm in college and although my campus offers a large variety of foods, many of them healthy, it's a strain on my wallet. There is no microwave in the eating area either. So what are some great lunches that will be okay in a lunch box for 6 hours?

I have an insulated lunch sack that I take to work with ice packs in it, and it's good for me for 5-6 hours. I leave it on my desk because I hate the communal refrigerator situation we have here.
I will take cubed chicken, but I can eat that cold. Whole fruits would be easy, you don't need to refrigerate those.
You could freeze sandwiches, I used to do this in elementary school and they would be thawed by lunch.
Are you in a dorm or do you have access to a kitchen? Buying fresh meats and cooking them yourself can be cost effective, or hit the deli at the grocery store and see if they have any cooked meats like rotisserie chicken. That's actually what I have today.

Salads and wraps are always great! If your lunch box is insulated they should be fine until lunch. Yogurt, fruit, and raw veggies are also good options.
