So ive done it before and it wasnt too terrible. Just want to be able to stick to it this time i have well over a 100lbs to lose and im ready for change. This week i have all my recipes figured out just dont know are you suppose to eat breakfast if you arent hungry? How do snacks work?

I won't address the LCHF diet since I don't eat that way but I wish you luck if that is the route that you are taking.
I will respond to the eating when not hungry...
You will get a variety of view points on that issue but for me...eating when I am not hungry is how I gained weight. Actually...most of my eating occurred when I wasn't hungry which is probably why I was never hungry. I ask myself now if I am actually hungry or am I just eating for some emotional need or out of boredom or habit. I still have a ways to go but it has gotten better.
I would say...if you don't like to eat breakfast or your not hungry at your normal breakfast time...then don't eat unless you know it will be a long time before you can eat lunch. Then you might want to at least have something small to hold you over.0 -
Just eat when you're hungry. Always have snacks with you so you're not starving waiting for the next meal. Don't go hungry it's the surest way to blow your diet.0

How to eat when not hungry ? I just put food in my mouth, chew and swallow. Similar to drinking when not thirsty. I guess I don't understand the question, and I am seldom hungry.0

I'm not hungry at a particular time in the AM, so I prep a smoothie so it is ready when I am.
How low is the Low in LCHF and how high is the High? Do you have particular ratios?0 -
I highly urge you to read up on " intermittent fasting" as it may help explain.
You do not need to eat when you awake in the morning. Nor is a little bit of tummy growl equate to "starving" or " losing LBM or muscle". Starvation mode is a myth, and muscle protein breakdown does not begin to occur until around the 28 hour mark of a fast.
Thats why I say read up on Intermittent Fasting as this way of eating helps burn fat and allows you to eat bigger meals and hit your macros all the while being satieted. No need to eat all these little meals and staying hungry all day long.0 -

I am trying to stay below 50g of carbs from my fruits and veggies. Other than that i dont have any numbers. The smoothie is a great idea. Thanks0 -

@btodd304 I eat 30% of my diet as carbs and 30% as protein. The other 40% is fats. Now, I rarely do bread or other starch type carbs like rice and potatoes, but instead focus my 30% on fruits and veggies. For my fats, I have olive oil, nuts, avocados, and coconut milk. I can't do 50gms of carbs on a regular basis, especially when I am exercising. But since it is veggies and fruits I don't usually worry too much about it. My diary is open if you want to take a look. I would say though, you may need more carbs if you are not hungry. It could be that you aren't getting enough carbs to keep your metabolism from slowing down. But without seeing your diary, that is hard to say.0

Good luck. I would advise increasing your sodium and making sure you get enough magnesium and potassium. You are planning on keeping your carbs below 50g, and that will put you in ketosis so you will be urinating out more sodium, magnesium and potassium. If you keep those levels high you may not experience the keto flu (much) - a less energetic time which often involves a headache.
Make sure you are still eating at a slight deficit or weight loss won't happen.
If you aren't hungry in the morning, don't eat. Once you are keto adapted you'll be burning your own body fat more efficiently so some people find that they are not as hungry in the morning. If I am not hungry in the morning I just have some whipping cream or coconut cream in my coffee and start the day. Some people use bulletproof coffee, which is coffee with just fats like butter and coconut oil, to give them a bit of energy but not break your fat fast from the night - I haven't tried it myself. If I am hungry I'll have a couple of eggs or bacon.
I tend not to be hungry at lunch (after eggs and coffee with cream) so I eat lunch at 2 or 3:00, and then dinner at about 6:00. Follow your appetite. At first I ate at 7:00, 10:00, 1:00, 3:00 6:00 and often a bedtime snack. I started skipping and combining meals after I had been eating LCHF for a while. Eat when hungry, but stay within reasonable limits. For example, on a non-hungry day I might eat 1100 kcal, but on a hungry day it may be 2200; it averages out around 1400-1500 kcal.

You can eat when you should rather than when you are hungry. You're overweight through eating in response to perceived hunger ? In which case eat to the clock and control the amount.0 -

Not currently, will be adding that in shortly. Doctor suggested to just focus on changing diet first then add in working out. And it wont be anything crazy just walking and elliptical for now.0 -
