hey I'm new to counting macros, could anyone tell me do I need to have a low carb day on rest day?

How would I calculate it? Training days I'm on 40%carbs 25%fats 35%protein ?

I don't do "training" so I wouldn't know. 40/25/35 wouldn't offend anyone though it might be a bit light on fats. More than 35% protein is seen as "excessive".
Personally I would be tempted to have a roughly constant F & P intake in grams per day and float the carbs according to activity, but many opinions are available. Depends on your goals too, which you haven't stated.0
