Fitbit cheating me

I have my Fitbit synced to MFP. I did 45 min on the treadmill at 3.2 mph and MFP only gave me 18 calories. What am I doing wrong?

Click on the adjustment in your diary to see the math, but you've burned 18 calories more than your MFP activity level (sedentary, lightly active, etc.).

    Enable negative calorie adjustments: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/account/diary_settings

How much did you move the rest of the day? Fitbit tracks your activity all day long.

If you do your walk on the treadmill in the morning - then flop on the sofa, and have a Walking Dead marathon (only moving to fetch food / visit the toilet) - because, hey, you worked out, you're done for the day (obviously I would never engage in the activities described *cough, cough, splutter), then your adjustment isn't going to be as high as you might hope.

ETA: if you have a high activity level set on MFP - then it could just be you weren't as active as you usually are today!

As others have stated above the fitbit tracks your total daily calorie burns. MFP assumes you will already be somewhat active (depending on the level you set it to). You burned 18 calories more so far than MFP assumed you would with normal daily activity depending on the level you set.
