how many calories should I eat

I'm confused still been on here for awhile and been eating 1200 calories to lose 2 pounds a week. I was doing good then I started slacking. So I'm thinking 1200 is good on some days. My stats are 27 female 5'0" and 171.2lbs. My goal weight is between 115-120. I'm lightly active. Should I do 1 pound or 2 pounds a week.

    Half a pound for ever 25 pounds your over weight is what I hear. So one sounds like a good idea.

    As for calories, I would just go with what mfp suggests unless you are losing too fast or too slow.

    Had you been losing 2 pounds a week at 1200 calories?

    I have been losing around 1.8 pounds sometime less.

    Do what you want! If losing 2 a week seems tough, drop to 1.5 or 1 or even half a pound if you want. I have 30-35 left to lose and I aim for 1.5 pounds a week...well, I eat the calories for 1.5 pounds a week. If I lose even one, I'm delighted. Usually, I whoosh and lose several in a row.

    Most MFPers in my position would be aiming for 1 pound or half a pound.

    I'd you go with a pound a week, that's about 20 pounds down by the end of the year. How does that sound to you? Sounds good to me! I'll go with that. :)

    But it's really up to you! :)

    I think I will try a pound a week for a few months then maybe change it around here and there
