I dont know about anyone else but do you find that your spouse/significant other gets mad at you for counting calories?
Im trying to get the most accurate results to ensure I actually loose but when it comes to dinner which she makes and I help, I usually get a good telling off for trying to guess or weigh stuff to add.
Ive tried doing them before, during or after eating but anytime I still get an ear full. Shes trying to loose anything but I just find this really discouraging. Anyone else had this problem or am I the only case?
Thanks

have you asked her why she gets mad?0

Communication is key. Ask her why she gets mad. Open a dialogue. Tell her that it is important to you. But talk it out.0

Husband used to tease me for weighing food and said things like "I can't believe you're weighing ________". I've lost 44 pounds in the past year and now he is asking for my help with his weight loss. Results speak for themselves.0

Just going out on a limb... when you weigh your food are you suggesting she do the same? Encouraging her to get on board? Maybe giving her some tips?0 -
It is hard to lose weight without support at home. Do you ever cook dinner totally by yourself? I know that my husband found it annoying when he was "doing all the work". Your stance towards your wife appears critical. Perhaps she is picking up on that vibe as well; causing the "irrational" reactions...0

Hmm I don't weigh my food but l do log it pretty diligently. I try not to do it during the meal and focus on my BF. Then once we finish I usually casually ask him if it's ok I take a few seconds to log my food. This actually serves as a reminder for him too. When I ask him it's not for permission but to politely give him a heads up so he doesn't feel neglected if he wants to start a convo.0
