Better to eat a Lean Cuisine than nothing at all?

Don't eat in the morning if you don't want to. Breakfast is NOT the most important meal of the day for everyone.0

drink a protein shake in the morning
meal timing doesn't matter but breakfast is great way jumpstart your metabolism your body has been fasting for a good while while sleeping
This is a myth
not a myth you start your day off with more energy when you have some food in the morning like i said meal timing doesn't matter
It's a myth that breakfast "jump starts your metabolism"0 -
I can tell you right now. Everyone eats differently. I eat about six small meals throughout the day. Yes it seems like a lot..
But o_o; it's what works for me.
What works for me doesn't work for my mom..
Honestly, if you're not hungry don't eat.
Or you could go along the lines of greek yogurt. o-o0 -
And if you are looking for quick breakfasts I go for some Chobani and fruit. Cottage cheese and fruit, or scrambled eggs with cheese and veggies.0

yeah, I eat 4-5 meals, probably 6 with snacking. Never been overweight though.0 -
I'd recommend kick starting the metabolism with at least a protein bar, shake or fruit smoothie. Eat when you are hungry, yes.. but if you are trying to lose weight - you have to eat right and frozen meals are not the way to go. Lots of salt, processed crap and chemicals.
I used to be like that - never ate breakfast - wouldn't be hungry till afternoon.. I was always skinny fat. I had to force myself to eat breakfast - then eat every 3 hours after... its a process but your body will thank you!
Good luck...
^ Er. No. Eating breakfast to "kickstart" your metabolism is a myth.
I think some all or nothing info is dangerous do your reasearch. When we eat has alot to do with fat burn and health. The body is governed by the circadian rhythym. New studies find taht 3rd shift and graveyard workers have a 65 percent higher risk for breast cancer. Sleep and eating on a regular schedule are very important. So, the eating breakfast "myth" is not outdated the not eatin g in the morning is outdated now. We have to keep up. Also, do your own research. Our bodies produce melatonin and different hormones at different times for a reason.0 -

"It has to do something" that's the most scientific thing I've ever heard :P
In all seriousness though, you mentioned intermittent fasting which is exactly the point. Some people do IF and have awesome success with it. They don't eat breakfast and their metabolism seems to work just fine. It doesn't matter what time of day you eat, you just gotta eat.0 -

you are beating a dead horse here i already said that the point is breakfast is good for you i don't want people to get the ideal that it is not if people don't want to then that is cool but we know that people that have a good breakfast will tend not to overeat and be eating heavy food just as they are about to go to bed.
By eating breakfast in the morning, you essentially give your body's metabolism a kick start so you can start burning calories. Your body stores Excess glucose by the liver as glycogen which is released when it is needed. Usually by late-morning, glycogen stores are almost completely depleted. So, if you were to skip breakfast, your body will in return have almost no quick energy available.0 -
I skip breakfast or delay it as much as I can most days, because that's what works for me. Even when I do eat breakfast, it isn't the traditional breakfast foods. There's no law against having a quesadilla or leftover curry for breakfast.
My ticker shows that eating this way has not hindered weight loss.
Well, now I can celebrate about knowing that I'm not the only person that has eaten a quesadilla for breakfast! (Or a steak... or a salad... sometimes leftover chicken0 -
When my limit was 2100 not eating breakfast would force me to load up in the evening. It's not good for me because sometimes a full stomach keeps me awake. Now that my limit is 1900 I can skip breakfast without piling on dinner, but due to the reduced total calorie my body actually demands food in the morning. I sometimes get lightheaded now if I skip breakfast.
In short: listen to your body and stay true to your daily goal.0 -
I will say one thing: many people here battle with a lifetime of bad habits. Like eating big meals to the point of stretching our stomach... That is what made me gain the fat in the first place... At first I would eat little in the day and just indulge in a big meal at night time, but then I was home for lunch and I start also eating big meal for dinner, and then it turned into three big meals...
So yeah it doesn't matter how you stay under your calories goal if you plan to be at this only for a little while, but if you are changing your bad habits for life, you should look at all the reason you put up the fat in the first place... and maybe you will see why I suggest you spread your calories a little more
Good luck!0
