Guidance on macronutrient goals

I am trying to pay attention to macros. I went through the guidelines/calculator which suggested at least 25% protein and 27% fat. After logging diligently for a week, I see that I tend to eat 40% carbs, 30% fat, and 30% protein. Anyone have a good guideline for the optimal breakdown?

    i don't think there's anything wrong with 40/30/30?

    No one can tell you what is 'optimal' for you. Macronutrient intake is personal.

    I would set them at whatever aids enjoyment, long term compliance and performance goals, again, this is all personal to you.

    Don't rely on arbitrary numbers from online calculators.
