After an intense workout, I get all these little muscle spasms throughout my legs and bottom. I used to think that was a good sign, but I heard recently that it means your body is lacking something. What is that something exactly? How can I avoid getting the muscle spasms?

They mostly are due to your workouts but can be a sign of dehydration, low potassium or magnesium.0

Ooo, okay. I don't think I'm dehydrated, but I will look into the other things. Thanks!0

Get new shoes. That more times than not is the culprit.0

Electrolytes...probably sodium or potassium if you sweat a lot during the workout. If I feel like that after a run in humid weather, I drink some pickle juice. It really does work...a friend of mine said his high school football coach recommended that.0

If you discover it is magnesium deficiency, bathing in epsom salts is great in conjunction with taking a supplement. The skin absorbs the magnesium - helps me with relaxing muscles after a workout.0

Wow, thanks for the awesome tips, everyone! I do have a multi-vitamin, but always forget to take it. I do need to get new shoes, too. And, who doesn't like bathing with epsom salts? XD I'll try these out and see if it helps.0
