Exercising when ill

Hi! Just want some thoughts here on exercising when you are not feeling the best. I am fighting a summer cold but do not want to throw off my routine. I did take Sunday off, but then back to work & the gym after yesterday & today. Do you think this is ok if I try to be conscious of not overdoing? Thank you all.

When I'm sick or not feeling my best, I take a rest day and get as much of it as possible (and I work out at home). In my experience, better to lay low and get over it more quickly than to try to push myself too hard, and often end up prolonging the illness and then taking off even more time.
That's what works for me. Depending on the sickness, I may still get out for a short walk with my dogs or something and not be completely idle, but it really just depends on how I feel.

Good thoughts! Maybe I should try a light walk instead if I feel up to it. That way I am not being a total slug but less vigorous than the gym. Thanks!0
