I'm a 5'7 male at the age of 21. My starting weight was 207 and I have lost 40 pounds and am now at 167. Although I'm extremely proud of myself and what I've done, the results weren't what I initially thought when I started. I think I want to lose another 15-20 pounds to get my body looking the way I've always wanted, but having some trouble pushing past that 40 pound milestone. Any pointers to keep going strong or to kick in the next gear to reach my next goal? Thanks!

    What are your goals?

Just a guess but wouldn't more weightloss put you in the low end of the healthy weight range?

Maybe hold off and maintain for a while, you might still be seeing your self as your fatter self.

Or maybe body recomp is a better option than just weightloss.

I had the same thing when I got to my goal weight, and I got stuck at my old goal. I think sometimes your motivation can kind of drop as you're feeling happier and maybe don't feel like being as regimented. What worked for me was staying at maintenance for a few weeks, taking that time to enjoy the weight loss while still eating fairly healthy etc, and then going for the next few pounds. And congrats on the loss so far!!

    What's your ideal body

Is the difference fat or musculature?
