Am I losing at an acceptable rate?

So I'm a big worrier and naturally I'm worrying about my weightloss. I was expecting to see more progress than I have done, but after checking my numbers I think that actually I'm on track and I need to stop worrying.

I've been going 8 weeks, with a goal of 1400cals a day, I weigh my food and keep to healthy stuff most of the time but usually have a small treat (within my calories) eg a biscuit, hot chocolate etc. I weigh daily and use trend weight so I can ignore daily fluctuations. I'm 5ft4, start weight was 70kg (154lb) my current goal is 55kg (121 lb) although once I 60kg I will re-evaluate if I need to loose anymore, or if I need to change to recomp. I use a fitbit charge HR for my TDEE which is 1900-2200+ depending on if it was a gym day or not, I use negative calories

Anywho, in 8 weeks I've lost 2.8kg (6lb), which works out to .35kg (.75lb) lost per week.

Is this a reasonable amount to be losing per week? Should I be aiming for more/less?
(I realise this may seem a daft question, but I keep worrying that I should be losing more and this isn't enough and that I'm doing something wrong)

Not a daft question at all .75lbs per week is a perfect goal for healthy weight loss. Looks like you have a great plan in place. Slow and steady wins the race :)

You're doing everything right: weighing your food, enabling negative calorie adjustments, syncing your Fitbit with Trendweight. Yay, you.

The less you have to lose, the more slowly it comes off. That's just the way the human body works. A safe, sustainable loss is .5 lb. per week for every 25 lbs. you're overweight. So you're right on target for someone with another 30 lbs. to go.

Thank you for your responses ^^

I had a fair bit drop off in the first few weeks and very little has happened the most recent weeks, and I was getting frustrated nothing was happening. So it's reassuring to know that actually I'm on track (even if I've not gone down the last two weeks lol).

Oh well I guess if it was easy everyone would do it

Sounds great, remember that weight loss is never linear - there will be weeks where you lose lots, some, nothing, or even gain.....

When you start eating at a deficit, you lose a lot of water & glycogen. Trendweight is plotting a moving average of your weight without the "noise" of water weight.

Be patient, and keep up the great work.
